There is no phone tree at Barrington
High School,
and in an effort to help you find accurate and timely School
Closing/Late Start information,
we are providing the following information:
Updates will be made early to both the
District 220 and Barrington High School web sites and the following
addresses:
www.cusd220.org
http://bhs.cusd220.lake.k12.il.us
In addition, the PTO
web site www.bhspto.org, will be
updated as soon as information becomes available.
When a late start is indicated, students should report to school 90
minutes later than normal.
School will start at the following
times:
Buses will pick students up 90 minutes
later than normal. Morning
kindergarten, as well as Early Childhood programs will be held in
accordance with the above schedule
The
following caption is from the District 220 web site
School closings due to severe
weather or other unusual circumstances will be announced
between 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. on the District website and the following
AM radio stations: WMAQ-670, WBBM-780, WGN-720, WRMN-1410 and
WAIT-820, as well as WCLR-FM-101.9, WXET-FM-105.5, WGN-TV Channel 9,
CBS Channel 2, Fox Channel 32, and CLTV Channel 48. Please do not
call the school.
Reopening of school will not be announced, but the
closing announcement will be made each day as necessary. In the unlikely event
that the decision is made to dismiss students before the end of the day, radio
and TV stations will be notified, and calling trees will be activated to inform
parents directly.
If a tornado warning is in effect,
parents should not send children to school. If the warning comes while school is
in session, appropriate protective measures will be instituted by school
personnel.
